Many species of animals on display are unique to this corner of the world. Live galleries and exhibits range from interactive and hands-on to multi-story such as the Outer Bay and Kelp Forest. Monterey Bay Aquarium also houses the largest jelly fish exhibit in the world, and Splash Zone - a specially designed fun area for young children with, a touch pool and play areas with an educational twist.

Cannery Row in Monterey. Historic Cannery Row is at the heart of Monterey Bay. Cannery Row was named for its once bustling sardine canning industry located on the Bay’s shore. Today, Cannery Row features over 80 shops and 20 restaurants and bars. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment performed in outside courtyards overlooking the ocean, or kayaking with sea otters and seals.
